Term ends on Saturday 24th June 2017, however Rackets Academy will be open throughout the summer for those of you staying in Dubai. Weekly sessions will be running as follows:
- Adult Social – every Wednesday, 7.45-9.45pm, AED50. Organised match play
- 1 x Adult Group Class – every Monday, 7.45-8.45pm
- Private & Semi-Private Tennis & Padel Tennis lessons are available mornings and evenings

Player of the Week
This week’s Player of the Week goes to Whitney Casey (see top left pic) for her amazing performance in the Division A, line 1 tournament last week. Congratulations Whitney…your best performance so far!
Tournament & Match Update
NAS Padel Tennis Tournament
Innocent played his first ever padel tennis tournament this month in the NAS Sports Padel Tennis tournament (see top right pic), winning 2-0 against PGP Group…congratulations Innocent, a fantastic result!
Division C Match
Heather Bryne and Tori Davidson played their last match for Rackets Academy last week before they leave Dubai this summer, winning 6-3, 6-4 against Aviation Club. Congratulations ladies on a brilliant match and we wish you both all the very best in your next adventures.
Heather Drake and Ruth MacDonald unfortunately lost their match 6-0, 6-3 against Aviation Club but nonetheless the C team finished 3rd in the league. Well done ladies, we’ve seen great team spirit throughout the tournament! (see bottom left pic of our C team ladies).
Division B Match
The B team ladies played their final league match of the season last week against Jumeirah Beach Hotel. Unfortunately Kim Gauthier and Rafa Tom lost their match 6-2, 6-2 as did Sue Yaghi and Devi Torrin 7-5, 7-5 but despite this, a huge amount of effort went in to both matches. Well done to all the B team ladies on their performance throughout the league this season, it’s been a great experience for you all!
School Taster Sessions
Last week we ran some taster sessions at Manor Primary School which both the kids and coaches really enjoyed! (see bottom right pic). This week we’re off to Jebel Ali High School where we look forward to meeting the kids in their taster sessions!
