Player of the Week
This week’s Player of the Week goes to Enzo Kahi. Enzo receives this award for his incredible performance in the U12 UAE Ranking Tournament in which he lost in the final last weekend, but played amazing to get to the final. Especially his semi-final performance. Congratulations Enzo on your fantastic achievement!
What’s New?
Congratulations to our Rackets Academy six-a-side football team who were crowned champions of the EFA League last week. Well done guys on another great season!

U12 Ranking Tournament results
Huge congratulations to 4 incredible players; Eric Morna, Enzo Kahi, Kexin Li and Larissa Brasil for their amazing performances in the U12 UAE Ranking tournament that took place over the last two weekends.
Eric Morna and Rackets Academy Elite Player Enzo Kahi battled it out in the boys final with Eric taking home the champions trophy following a 2-6 6-1 10-6 win in the final.
In the girls final, Kexin Li competed against Rackets Academy’s very own Larissa Brasil in a 2-hour long match, displaying some incredible tennis with Kexin raising the champion’s trophy winning 6-2 4-6 10-5 in the final.
Brilliant performances from these young athletes. Congratulations to you all!
Mixed Doubles Tournament Results
Thanks and well done to everyone who took part in our Mixed Doubles Tournament last weekend. Congratulations to our Champions Dr. Bassem Alhalabi and Vanja Suskavcevic. Dr. Bassem and Vanja won the round robin tournament with 28 points! Well done to you both!
Riku Higashi competes in the ATF Qualifying Tournament in Bali, Indonesia
Last weekend, Fitness First sponsored and Rackets Academy Elite, Riku Higashi flew to Bali with Rackets Academy Elite Performance Coach James to compete in the ATF Qualifying Tournament in Bali; the biggest U14 junior tournament in the world. Riku competed with some very strong players but nonetheless, played extremely well. It was a fantastic experience for Riku, who made many friends and learnt a great deal from the tournament. His highlight of the trip was practising with the Hong Kong national team players! Riku is excited and ready for his next tournament!

Coach Simon’s Tip of the Week: Hit and Recover
“So many players will hit a ball and watch the ball and compliment themselves on the shot. From now on you must hit and recover so that you are ready for the next shot in case it comes back. Good luck!”
Rackets Academy Larte Ladies League: Season 4, Week 6 Results

Congratulations to Nicola Keeling who is our Larte Ladies League Player of the Week for week 6. Nicola wins a brunch for two at Larte Restaurant in Studio City. She was voted for Player of the Week by the coaches for her amazing performance last week. Nicola’s team (Full Metal Rackets) won their match against Rackettes by one service game and Nicola and her partner came from 5-2 down in the second set to win the set and the tie break overall. Nicola has been recovering from an injury and this was by far her best match this season! Well done Nicola!
