I love tennis because it’s one sport that gets every part of you exercising at the same time.

3. How did you get into tennis?

My brother was a coach, he introduced me to tennis and since then I’ve been loving it.

4. When did you start playing tennis?

I have been playing for over 25 years now.

5. List 3 things you like about Rackets Academy

  1. Knowing that I joined Rackets Academy when it was only George, myself and Francisco in 2016 and seeing what the Academy has achieved now in the UAE is amazing.

  3. Rackets Academy prioritises coaches’ welfare and professional services to their clients.

Rule of the Week – Rule for Young Players

To reach your maximum level of ability, it requires sound techniques, a winning mentality and to be in good physical shape.

Coach Petar’s Tip of the Week

“Tennis is a mental game. There are many times when we cannot control what is happening on the court but the things we can control we have to do our best:

1. Come prepared for the lesson – water, new grip, towel – warm up, stay in the zone.

2. Start with footwork, once the body temperature has increased , miracles can happen.

3. Focus on timing and big targets – do not aim for lines and corners, go for fast, consistent shots in big targets (1m inside the court).

4. If you are losing the matches, analyse what the reason is and how to improve instead of being frustrated.

5. Do not play to impress, play to win the game, set and match.…Good luck!“
