Rule of the Week
Did you know that if you are playing singles, you are not allowed to serve from the tram lines, as the far side of the court ends at the singles line?
Coach Moro’s Tip of the Week: Cutting the lines
“One of the common mistakes that adult social players make, is not cutting the lines. It often happens that you do a rally from the baseline and let’s say you get a shorter ball cross-court. Most of the time you find yourself running in an L-shape towards the ball, around the baseline and then towards the ball. The result? You’ll think that the ball was way too far and was impossible to reach. Next time you are on court, on short balls, try to run straight towards them, rather than around them. Basic geometry, shortest way from point A to point B is a straight line! Good luck!”
