Coach Moro’s Tip of the Week: The Racket Drop

“We all know how much we’re practicing the serve and the struggle to squeeze more power into it. One of the most crucial things for getting more power is the racket drop. When you start the swing, try to get the racket behind your back with the butt cap pointing upwards!

Doing this transition from your right side of the body to the left, will basically drop your racket in the optimum position from where you can generate the maximum amount of power! From there, throw the racket in the shot and let your body follow through naturally! You will find that your serve gets stronger while your body will feel more comfortable & relaxed at the same time! So go practice the Racket Drop! Good luck!”
