Rule of the Week

A player can’t hit the ball into anything other than the court or net, before it lands. That means if the player’s ball hits the net post, the point will be lost even if the ball bounced from the net post inside the court.

Coach Moro’s Tip of the Week: Changing the Pace

“Sometimes you find yourself playing with a stronger partner than yourself; and you play great! But there are rallies where each one of you hits stronger, and stronger and then… you get carried away and miss your shot. That usually happens when you use more power than you can handle.

So how do we change that? Next time you’re on court, and you go into a rally that keeps going up power wise, after 3rd or 4th shot, change the pace… use a slice… try a dropshot or place a higher ball with less power. All of these are great options to ‘reset’ a rally and change the pace,, that will surprise your opponent and give you a better chance of taking control of the point! Good luck!“
