Players of the Week
Congratulations to our Player of the Week, Helen Hughes. Helen receives this award for her superb performance in the mixed doubles tournament last weekend in which she reached the finals with her partner Bassem. Well done Helen!
Ladies League – results
Well done to all the ladies who took part in week 8 of our ladies league last week. Congratulations to MCRA: Full Metal Rackets, Springs: Drop Shots and AR2: Victorious who won their matches! Rackets Academy will be starting season 2 of their Internal Ladies Doubles League in the next few weeks and we are on the lookout for ladies to join our league and create some new teams. Results from Mixed Doubles Tournament
Congratulations to everyone who took part in our Mixed Doubles Tournament last weekend. It was a great afternoon with some fantastic tennis played. Congratulations to our champions Adele and Julian who beat Helen and Bassem 6-1 in the final.
Mini Red Festival
It was fantastic to see so many kids at our Mini Red Festival last weekend. The kids had so much fun taking part in the competitions and games. Thanks to all who came!

Coach Kris’s Tip of the Week: Good follow-through is essential
“How to improve your forehand in tennis: The follow-through starts as soon as the tennis ball has left your racket. Make sure that the tennis racket handle is high on the left side (right side of you if you are left handed) with the butt of the tennis racket facing your opponent. As you hit the ball, turn your forearm over as though checking your watch whilst bringing the tennis racket across your body in a fluid, smooth movement. Continue this movement and rotate your upper body, this allows you to decelerate both yourself and the tennis racket smoothly. Good luck!”
