Player of the week
Congratulations to our Player of the Week Sam Dean. Sam receives this award for the improvement that he’s made on his forehand and backhand top spin and continuing with this fitness last week despite feeling unwell. Great work Sam, we admire your dedication and determination!

Inter Club Ladies Doubles League (ILDL), series 18 – week 1 results
Last week, Rackets Academy played their first match of series 18 of the Inter Club Ladies Doubles League (ILDL) against Atlantis. Our ladies smashed it, beating Atlantis 6-3 6-1 and 6-3 6-3. Well done Alison, Janice, Maaren & Becky on a fantastic match and best of luck for the rest of the league.
Football Match: Rackets Academy Coaches vs Fitness First staff
Last week our lovely Rackets Academy coaches went head to head in the inaugural football match against the staff of Fitness First. Rackets Academy lost out this time, 8-12 but we’re looking forward to a rematch soon!!
Easter Tennis & Multi-Sports Kids Camp
Wondering how to keep your kids entertained over the Easter break? Well we have just the answer! Sign them up to our Easter Tennis & Multi-Sports Camp where they can have fun, burn off some energy and hang out with the other kids.
We’ll be running camps across 3 locations between 31st March and 11th April:
- Rackets Academy, Motor City
- Fitness First, The Lakes
- Fitness First, Town Center
Week 1: Sunday 31st March – Thursday 4th April
Week 2: Sunday 7th April – Thursday 11th April
Price: AED 599 per week or AED 130 per day

Coach Simon’s Tip of the Week: Where to hit the ball on groundstrokes
“Try to always hit the ball between waist and shoulder height on groundstrokes to create a consistent swing. This means not letting the short balls drop so you can take time away from your opponents! Good luck!”
