Hope you had a great half term! Here’s a quick round up from last week at Rackets Academy!
Men’s UAE League Results
What a week for our talented and professional men’s team here at Rackets Academy! Both teams qualified for the quarter finals in the Men’s UAE League last week, thrashing Tennis360, with Mariano winning 6-2 6-1 and Sam winning 6-3 6-0. Sam and Joseph won the doubles rubber with a convincing professional perfomance, beating Tennis360 6-1 6-3. Well done guys! Outstanding performances from you all, we are so proud 🙂
Rackets Academy B Team swept aside Clark Francis 2-1 to qualify for the last 8. Amr Hazam has captained the team so far, easing into the last 8 and finishing top of their division.
Players of the Week
Our Players of the Week for this week go to Achille Mangili and to our lovely Coach Mariano. Achille receives this award for his fantastic performance and effort in the Green Ball Tournament last weekend, specifically his match against Manos in the Semi-Final. Coach Mariano receives this for his outstanding performance in the Men’s UAE League last week, winning 6-2 6-1 against Tennis360, Meydan. Congratulations Mariano on a fantastic game!
Green Ball Tournament Results
Congratulations to our Green Ball Tournament Champion, Manos, who beat Barkha 4-1 in the final. Outstanding performances from our young talent; well done to all who participated in the tournament.
Ladies Doubles Tournament Results
Congratulations to Simona and Liza who took the trophy for winning the Ladies Doubles finals, beating Lydia and Anett 6-1. A fantastic performance from these ladies; well done and thanks to all who entered.
Kids Half Term Camp!
Thanks to all the kids that joined us for Half Term fun on the courts! We had a brilliant week with you guys – thanks for putting in so much effort and making the week so enjoyable for our coaches. See you at Easter!
