Player of the Week
This week’s Player of the Week goes to Larissa Brasil. Larissa receives this award for her consistent commitment during her training and for her performance in the Under 12s Future Pro UAE National Ranking event at Kings Al Barsha last weekend, in which she won her first match 6-1 6-2! Well done Larissa on this well-deserved award.
Football Taster Sessions with Gulf Academy United
Further to our announcement last week about our partnership with Gulf United Academy, we are delighted to announce that a series of taster sessions are being held across Dubai over the next two weeks as follows:
Monday 21st October, 5-6pm, Mudon
Monday 28th October, 5-6pm Foremarke School
Thursday 31st October, 5-6pm, Sustainable City
Sunday 3rd November, 5.30-6.30, Swiss School

Well done to everyone who took part in our Red Ball Tournament last weekend. Congratulations to our Champion Rafa Aldemita who beat Samuel Consunni 16-14 in the final. What a fantastic match boys! A special shout out to Meredith Ng and Ahmed Rahal for reaching the Semi-Finals.
Rule of the Week
A player can’t make noise when the ball is moving towards the other side of the court.
Coach Innocent’s Tip of the Week: Stability
“The physical aspect; footwork one of them, never stops during practice, rally or match play. It should be an ongoing part of the game. In tennis, when a ball is being hit to you, Step One is reaching to the ball. Step Two is hitting the ball; without Step One, Step Two doesn’t provide the chance for a good shot!
In between Step One and Step Two, the stability comes in. The good position needs to be taken so the stability could follow. In order to hit a perfect shot and get the swing’s trajectory right for your shot or tactics, stability with the right position is the foundation for the shot!
Focus on reaching well, stop (with a good position) and hit in your next rally to witness an ongoing consistency to your game! Good luck!”

Mary and Sonia win a brunch for two at Larte Restaurant in Studio City for playing exceptional tennis in their match last week, keeping their composure to grab the win from an exciting and close tie-breaker after being down a set. Well done ladies!
