Player Interview with one of our Ladies League Captains, Catriona Morgan

1, Who is your favourite professional player?

Nick Kyrgios currently and John McEnroe from a few years ago for his high entertainment value and great tennis.

Emma Raducanu’s performance in the US Open was inspiring and unforgettable.

2, Who is your favourite Rackets Academy Coach?

Not telling- they are all wonderful!

3, Why do you love tennis

Exercise, competition and friendship

4, How did you get into tennis?

I was ‘that’ Child at the side of the court while my Mum played a lot of competitive tennis. I gradually got roped in to make up numbers.

5, How long have you been playing tennis?

On and off for over 50 years!!

6, Name 3 things you like about Rackets Academy.

World class venues, well organized events, professional Coaches and lovely players (Oh shoot, that’s 4!)

Coach Jordi’s Tip of the Week

Players should move in unison to close down the court for their opponent. Players should move in tandem as if attached to each other. This will in effect make the court seem small to the opposition, as there should be fewer gaps for them to hit into and it will make the court feel bigger for you.
