Rafa Tom ranked 17 in Lebanon!

We are delighted to announce that one of our lovely talented ladies at Rackets Academy, Rafa Tom, spent her summer competing in Lebanon and is now ranked 17 in her home country. Check out the photo of Rafa and her fantastic Rackets Academy coach, Mariano, in their colour co-ordinated outfits 🙂 Congratulations Rafa on this amazing achievement, your determination and dedication over the last two years at the club have certainly paid off. We are very proud of you.

Coach Innocent’s Tip of the Week: Tennis Tactic

“The best tennis strategies are similar to those in any sport: win more points and lose fewer points. But what tennis tactics support is a strategy of winning more points; use the knowledge you’ve gained by observing your opponent. For instance, you’ve observed which is your opponent’s weaker side. Now attack this weaker side with serves, returns and ground strokes. Force your opponent to use this weaker side and play faster shots to that side, giving your opponent less time to react. Use variation in height, spin and speed to disrupt your opponent’s timing. Good luck!”

Have a great week!
