Profile of Aminat Quadri, RA Coach and Ladies League Co-ordinator

Aminat has been associated with tennis her whole life as a player and a coach. She started tennis at the age of 6 and has played junior ITF in literally every country in Africa.

At 13, she was the most outstanding player in the girls U18 categories in Nigeria.

Aminat has been coaching for over 9 years. She played college tennis in the University of Port Harcourt where she studied Accounting. She won the University Games and qualified for world University Games.

Her love for tennis has encouraged her to introduce young players to the game as she emphasizes that TENNIS is a game of LOVE and should be experienced by all. While in college, she organized Catch them Young (red balls, yellow balls) programs and secured sponsorships for aspiring future champions.

Together with her love for kids and her love for tennis she strives to create a warm, lively and safe environment for kids to learn and enjoy tennis and at the same time encourage aspiring future juniors.

Aminat told us that running the Ladies League has been one of the most exciting responsibility she’s had to take on in a while, as its beautiful to watch the ladies come together under one umbrella to enjoy tennis in the most competitive and social manner. Having to attend to every query, requests and dispute has further proven to show her how genuinely interested these ladies are in the league!

Animat finds it really satisfying that the Rackets Academy Ladies League players now get a UTR ranking. PLAY LOCALLY, GET INTERNATIONAL RECOGNIZATION.
