Introducing the Rackets Academy Mrs Miyagi’s Ladies Doubles League!
Mr Miyagi’s and El Chapos Tacos are excited to collaborate with Rackets Academy and welcome you to our venues! Hailing from the streets of Asia, fictional Sensei Mr Miyagi heads up an outlet like no other. His trinkets collected from his travels around China, Thailand and Vietnam that litter the walls and floors of this kitsch and eclectic outlet located in Studio City’s Studio One Hotel. The menu, created by our lead Samurai chef and his team is an eclectic and authentic exploration of Asian street food. From rich Vietnamese soups that are Pho-nomenal, Japanese small plates that are ‘all that and dim-sum’ to Chinese favourites that are bound to wok your world. This is a perfect menu for snacking, sharing and grazing through no matter the occasion.
And right next door lives El Chapo’s Tacos, which promises to bring authentic Mexican flavours, sounds and experiences to the sandy suburbs of Dubai. From the moment you step through the border guests will be transported to the heart of Mexico from vibrant décor to feisty flavours coming from the kitchen. The heart & soul of the brand comes from the menu, serving traditional Mexican dishes created from family recipes along with twists on a few tex mex classics that are certain to give you something to taco about.

Kids Summer Camp – still time to book!
It’s great to see so many kids at our Summer Camps! We’ve had a brilliant few weeks with them all and the camps are running until 27th August so there’s still time to book your child in. If you’ve not done so already, sign them up today to beat the heat, stay active, burn off some energy and hang out with other kids.
Activities include; Mini Tennis, Tennis (Sofitel Hotel only) , Splash Session (except Ranches 2), Xfit Kids, Indoor Football, Zumba, Dodgeball, Dance and Boxing.
Camps are running across 5 locations:

2) FF Town Center, Springs
3) FF Lakes
4) FF Mudon
5) FF Arabian Ranches 2

New Coaches: Welcome to Coach Wiktoria and Coach Luca
We are excited to introduce you to two new coaches who have recently joined the Rackets Academy Team; Wiktoria Rychlik and Gianlucca Cocco.
Wiktoria Rychlik
Wiktoria has been associated with tennis her whole life as a player and coach and ranked top 20 Seniors in Poland while still a junior. She played at the highest level in Poland, Germany and Norway and represented Norwegian tennis clubs in ‘Eliteserien’ club championships. Wiktoria is a certified ITF Coach level 1 and 2, has taken the ITF referee course and attended various coaching workshops and tennis conferences run by the Norwegian Tennis Federation. For the past 5 years Wiktoria has been working in two of the top Norwegian tennis clubs; ‘Paradis Tennisklubb’ in Bergen and ‘Nesodden Tennisklubb’ in Oslo.
Over the last two years, Wiktoria’s main responsibilities have been overseeing and coaching active tournament players; captaining teams, running tennis and fitness programs and tournament follow ups. Wiktoria can adapt to different surroundings while coaching and has the ability to teach all kind of groups – kids, teenagers, adults and competitive players in groups and as individuals.
Gianlucca Cocco
Luca started playing tennis in England at the age of 8. He trained at various academies across the UK such as Bolton Arena, Bisham Abbey and Bath University whilst also travelling frequently to academies in Spain and Italy where he was coached by some of the top international coaches and trained and competed with high ranking international competitors.
During his junior career he represented his county regularly, in all age groups. He was a Lancashire Junior Champion and won every age group of County Cup from U10’s to Men’s. Luca achieved top 20 National Player status through U10-U18 age groups. Internationally he won both singles and doubles events in the U16 Tennis Europe and was ranked in the Top 25. Luca competed on the men’s circuit until the age of 19 before turning his attention to coaching.
He has coached all levels from complete beginners to performance players and all ages from young children to adults. Most recently he has taken charge of the Boys U18’s Lancashire County team. The team finished runners up in the top division for the last 2 consecutive years. Whilst continuing his tennis coaching, Luca attended University in England and obtained a BA(Hons) Degree in Sport Developments and Coaching.
Luca’s experience gained from training and competing abroad has helped him to develop an international approach to his coaching. Luca is a motivational coach whose energy, passion and enthusiasm helps players of all ages and abilities to realise their true potential in a fun and positive environment.

Goodbye to Coach Luis
Sadly we say goodbye to Coach Luis who heads home to Portugal this summer. We’d like to thank Luis for all his hard work and commitment as a coach over the last two years and wish him all the best for the future.
