Travel Tour

Coach Kirk is already in Cyprus with the Elite player Garv to compete at the iTF Juniors Tournaments in Larnaca and Limassol. So far he is doing well, but we will keep you posted on our social media with the results.

Tomorrow coach Alejandro is traveling to the Ten Pro Global Tournament that the Rafa Nadal Academy is hosting next week. Let’s wish our players; Larissa, Federica, Idhant and Enzo the best of luck in the tournament.

Speaking of Ten Pro, we are already putting together a package for the Ten Pro in Netherlands. The Dutch Bowl is coming up from the 15th to the 22nd of May. Check our website and sign up for the Dutch Bowl.

Tournaments

We are excited to announce that we have another Ten Pro Global Tournament scheduled for next October. It was great having players from all over the world at Rackets Academy for the Ten Pro Tournament this past month and we cannot wait to host it again next upcoming October.

We are ready to host another UTR Pro Tennis Tour event. Starting in late March we are hosting at Atlantis two women’s PTT $25K+H events. It will be the first women’s PTT tournament to offer free hospitality to players. Last month, Rackets Academy hosted two men’s PTT events, which were the first UTR tournaments that were held in the Middle East. UTR has now partnered up with Amazon Prime, so all matches will be available to watch on Prime Video. We will go more in depth on that in next week’s newsletter.

Registration ends today for the UTR Round Robin Format U16 Boys and Girls Tournament! First Rackets Academy tournament takes place this weekend, Saturday at Motor City and Sunday at Sofitel the Palm. The new Round Robin format guarantees a minimum of three matches per player, best of three sets (3rd set super tie break) matches. Group stage will be played on Saturday and semi-final and final on Sunday.

Watching the players develop and improve their level also knowing that they are learning and understanding how to play tennis

What do you like the most about Rackets Academy?

The way that the players are comprised and the good atmosphere with the rest of the coaches

You recently played Davis cup for Venezuela, how was the experience?

Being able to play the Davis Cup again is a dream that almost every player wishes that it comes true. Getting those butterflies in the stomach competing again it is incredible. The experience was great, being under the direction of a captain that was top 100 in singles and doubles you get to learn a lot from him.

How’s playing a Davis cup different from playing individually any other tournament?

 What do you prefer?

Playing at the Davis Cup is completely different from any other tournament, because you are representing your country. You have the pressure on you that you want the best for the rest of the team and everyone outside supporting you. Also knowing that other kids and young players are watching me play repriesenting their country knowing that they have the same dream I did when I was young of playing the Davis Cup, it’s a great feeling.
