We are wrapping up this month of January and we want to welcome you to this new year 2022 and new term in which we have started off with some big events and we have some exciting news for you.
Rackets Academy hosting International Tournaments
We started off the year with the PTT $30k Pro Tennis Tour UTR Tournament that took place in Atlantis. Ilia Snitari raised the champions trophy after defeating Marek Gengel by 6-3 6-2 in the final. At 19 years old the Moldovan tennis player has previously represented his county in the Davis Cup and in 2021 he ended the year ranked No. 800. Full Results Week 1 & Week 2
For the first time in history, Rackets Academy has hosted one of the biggest international junior tournaments in the UAE. The past week we had a great competition atmosphere at Rackets Academy with the Dubai Bowl. Players from 52 different nationalities came to the Dubai Ten-Pro Global Tournament to represent their country. It was great seeing all these players from all over the world giving their hundred percent on court. It was the first edition of the Dubai Bowl and we hope that there are many more to come. New opening at Mudon Fitness First
A Padel Court is now open at Mudon Fitness First. Make sure you check them out, booking is free through our mobile app for the next five days.
We have some new coaches on board
Alejandro Aquilino who has joined us from Sevilla, Spain is one of the new faces in the Elite Group Program. He is in charge of the tournament’s schedule and will be the traveling coordinator for the high-performance competition players.
Also arriving from Spain, Nuria Ormeño is coaching the Performance Group and will also be in charge of the Rackets Academy marketing and communications department. She is taking over the management of the Ladies League from now on.
Thibaut Meunier is a native from France, he grew up in Cannes and he is going to be coaching tennis and padel tennis at Rackets Academy. Have a look at our team!

Tournaments – ITF Fujairah
Our Elite players competed at the ITF Junior Fujairah J4 in Tennis & Country Club Fujairah. Congratulations to our player Garv Bahl who had a very succesful week and came runner up in doubles. Click here for more info
