Hello there! I’m Thomas, hailing from the beautiful shores of County Down, Ireland. Tennis has been a part of my life since the age of 6, evolving from a childhood passion to a lifelong pursuit.
My journey in tennis took a competitive turn at the age of 8, and by 16, I was already competing at regional and provincial levels. Eager to share my love for the sport, I delved into coaching at my local tennis club. This experience fuelled my desire to understand the science and art behind sports, leading me to pursue a BSc in Sport Science and Coaching at Nottingham Trent University, graduating with first class honours.
During my time in Nottingham, I not only gained invaluable knowledge but also secured my LTA coaching qualification. Competing for my university, I achieved the ‘player of the year’ title in my final year, a testament to my dedication and skill on the court.
Beyond the thrill of competition, I was dedicated to enhance the growth of tennis at university. Organising developmental tennis sessions for students of all abilities, from beginners to advanced players this allowed me to contribute to a vibrant tennis community on campus.
My coaching revolves around natural enthusiasm and the belief that tennis should be both a learning experience and an enjoyable journey. I thrive on encouraging players to unlock their full potential whilst enjoying the process.
I am a dedicated coach, and believe sport is a important part of peoples lives. Join me on this exciting journey where we not only play tennis but have fun in the process.
