A former top five junior tennis player in Argentina, Mariano Pettigrosso built his foundation on the competitive courts of South America before taking his talent to the United States, where he competed at the NCAA Division I level, achieving a national ranking of #28 and earning a Bachelor’s degree in International Business and Management.
After several seasons as a professional player ranked among the top 800 in the ATP, Mariano transitioned into coaching, where he found his true passion, developing athletes to reach their highest potential.
With over 15 years of international coaching experience, Mariano has worked with ATP, WTA, and top junior players, and participated in all four Grand Slam tournaments. His career includes key roles at two of Europe’s most prestigious training centers: the Schüttler-Waske Tennis University (Germany) and the Kim Clijsters Academy (Belgium), where he served as a Head Coach.
During his time at the Kim Clijsters Academy, Mariano worked closely with elite juniors and professional players such as Elise Mertens, Indy de Vroome, Elitsa Kostova, Sander Gillé, and Yanina Wickmayer, guiding them through critical stages of their development and success on the international circuit.
As the Elite Program Director, Mariano leads the academy’s high-performance pathway in Dubai, combining technical expertise, competitive insight, and international experience to help players achieve their full potential, while fostering a deep love for the game.
Mariano also serves as a consultant, helping professional players with their off-season preparation and performance planning. Over the years, he has worked with top names such as Lucas Pouille (#20 ATP), Svetlana Kuznetsova (#8 WTA), Fiona Ferro (#39 WTA), Denis Shapovalov (#10 ATP), and Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard (#29 ATP), among others.
Fluent in Spanish, English, French, and Italian, Mariano brings a truly global perspective to his coaching and leadership.
